The Return of the King - IAAPA 2021 was Grandly Held!

IAAPA show, the four-day exhibition from November 16 to 19, as well as 90+ education seminars were grandly held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. As one of the most influential annual event in the global amusement industry and one of the one-stop international professional sourcing platforms for the game & amusement industry, IAAPA Expo attracts the attention of a number of domestic and foreign visitors every year. A great many industry stakeholders visited the expo, such as operators, suppliers, investors and developers from theme parks, tourist attractions, integrated hotels and resorts, libraries and science centers, water parks, parks and aquariums, scenic spots, and FECs. They purchased amusement facilities, and looked for services and cooperation opportunities at IAAPA Expo.

Even in the context of the global Covid-19 pandemic, IAAPA 2021 still attracted 870 leading exhibitors, a decrease of approximately 24% compared to IAAPA 2019. The exhibitors this year were mainly from more than 30 countries and regions such as Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Among them, there were more than ten enterprises from China, including Funlandia, Gooest, Wahlap, UNIS, Paokai, Mich, Baokai, Pan Asia, Zhanhui, Brogent, Shenzhen OCT, and Qingdao Heyi.

In the five days, November 15-19, 870 exhibiting companies took up 375,000sq.ft of indoor and outdoor exhibit space. Qualified buyers were counted at 21,026 and total registration was 28,229. The organizer was committed to providing a safe and healthy exhibition environment for exhibitors and visitors. It has worked closely with local health authorities to formulate and implement a series of comprehensive plans, following the guidance of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) for large groups and conferences. The latest guidance and suggestions, to ensure the event’s safety and success.

Even if all the data had decreased, this exhibition was still wonderful. The exhibits covered large outdoor amusement facilities, redemption machines, simulators, gift machines, children's amusement equipment, inflatables, VR/AR/AI machines, water park equipment, display/safety/system/gifts and other spare parts and operation equipment, as well as park/theme park/attraction planning and operation consulting services, and industry publications. At the same time, a large number of new products were released at the event for the first time.

In its annual post-show wrap-up IAAPA said that its Orlando experience this year was notable for its "incredible challenge and incredible resilience," with the industry reconvening for the first time in two years. The event at the Orange County Convention Center in Florida, US, was "a testament to the resilience and continued growth and strength of the global attractions industry," said Hal McEvoy, CEO of IAAPA.
