According to the latest statistics, Germany currently has 200,000 AWP machines in opration. Around 77,000 are in pubs and bars while the bulk are in the 8,800 arcades. The figures continue to fall slowly, as the country applies the inter-state treaty on gambling that has seen the gradual reduction in the number of arcade licenses. There are also around 80,000 other games in operation in Germany, including video games, pool tables, darts, table football and pinball games. According to the Deutsche Automatenwirtschaft (DAW), the country has about 5,000 medium-to-large operating companies. (2021/08/26)
